Spal-Ascoli finisce 1-2 con la squadra di Sottil a colpire al termine dei due tempi. L'Ascoli ha giocato da squadra che sa quello che vuole e quello che deve fare. Dopo il vantaggio di Collocolo decide il gran gol di Buchel al 91' che era già stato fino a quel momento uno dei migliori in campo. L'enorme tifo bianconero al seguito, oltre 500 nel settore ospite, meritava questo successo che mantiene, a nove giornate dalla fine, i bianconeri in zona play off all'ottavo posto: un punto avanti al Perugia e due sotto il Frosinone. Mercoledì al Del Duca arriverà il Pisa ed un'altra vittoria avrebbe valore campale. Mancheranno Collocolo e Bellusci che saranno squalificati ma Sottil ha tutte le risorse per ovviare senza grandi problemi.
